August is here and that means Grape Harvest is right around the corner! The first grapes to ripen on our farm each year, Leon Millot, are typically ready for harvest around the week of August 25th. We’ll be watching them closely over the next few weeks, unpacking the air cannons soon to deter the birds from stealing our berries, and running samples to test brix (sugar), pH and acidity levels to let us know when it’s truly Harvest time!
Once we pick, crush and press those early berries, we turn the into wine with an expedited timeline, allowing us to release the luscious first wine of the year on the third Thursday of November at our annual Nouveau Night Celebration!
During this one-night only event, we invite guests into the wine cellar to bottle, cork and label their very own bottle of 2023 wine!
We make just 10 cases of our “Leon Nouveau” each season, and due to limited space in the cellar we can host only 50 guests for this fun & unique experience.
This year’s limited tickets will go LIVE for in-person ticket sales during our August 12th Old Fashioned Corn Roast! Attendees that evening get first access to tickets as a loyalty reward – and VIP Corn Roast Ticket Holders will enjoy extra Nouveau Night savings!
All remaining tickets will be available for sale on our website the next day, Sunday August 13th.
Mark your calendars for both the ticket launch, and our Nouveau Night Celebration, happening Thursday November 16, 2023!
**Wine Club Members automatically receive one complimentary Nouveau Night ticket, plus a link to share with Friends & Family Tickets for additional tickets at a discounted rate.
