Instead the spring arrived a month early. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather, except, among others, grape and fruit growers. Shrubs were blooming, buds were swelling – and then…..  

Too warm in January and February. Fruit growers don’t appreciate it. We took advantage of the weather the best that we could and did some landscaping, held our breath and prayed that the cold weather would still not come.

Our Pinot Noir is finally ready, the bottles resting in their racks. Working with these delicate, tiny grapes takes “blood, sweat, toil and tears” (Churchill), but our customer’s response made it worth all the labor, the wine has been very well received.

Our 2010 wines are now ready to fly out of their racks. What an excellent Christmas gift, a first edition beautiful wine from Long Cliff winery.

But we have LIGHT!

The tasting room opened this weekend featuring four of our vintages. The response was fantastic and we look forward to you visiting us!

Big Daddy and (Lemburger) Little Baby (Pinot Noir).  This year’s crop is beautiful. Promising an excellent wine next year.

Miraculously, it is still coming together. Waiting for the approval on the labels.
