September 7-9, the wineries of the Niagara Wine Trail will celebrate the beginning of the harvest season with their annual Harvest Festival Weekend event. One of the most popular events for the trail, wine and food pairing will be featured at each participating winery.
Each winery has selected a food from a local vendor to pair with one of their wines. Many of the winery locations will be paring wine with seasonal favorites such as harvest-theme breads, fruit and produce. From sweet, to savory and spicy, a little something for everyone is featured. A list of each winery’s food pairing and additional featured harvest activities may be found online at www.niagarawinetrail.org.
Advance tickets are $25/person and are available online through September 6th.
Any remaining tickets will be available at the door of each winery during the event for $30/person. Tickets are valid for all three days of the event and include wine tasting at each winery, one food sampling at each winery, and a commemorative wine glass from your starting winery. Friday hours are 12PM until 6PM, Saturday 10AM until 6PM, and Sunday from 12PM until 6PM.
