WOW! What a busy week we had! Last Wednesday we were at the Buffalo Zoo, where we poured through nearly FOUR CASES of Long Cliff’s finest for attendees of the annual “Wines in the Wild,” in support of our local zoo!! Not only were we able to showcase our wine to the nearly 2,600 guests in attendance, but we got to visit the various animal exhibits, including Polar Bear Cub Luna! By far, it was one of the busiest events we’ve been to, but we made it out alive, and we’re looking forward to attending again next year! As always, if you were there Wednesday, we encourage you to stop back at our winery and visit us again- and if you took home any of our souvenir “tasting corks” from the event, bring it in with you to redeem for a FREE Tasting at our bar!
Saturday and Sunday Grandpa held down the fort at Long Cliff while Kevin, Danielle & Sara worked our booth at the Niagara Wine Trail’s annual WINE AND CULINARY FEST in Lewiston!
Saturday brought storm clouds, but that didn’t seem to slow down sales as we watched customers throw down their umbrellas and join the live band for a dance in the rain! There was definitely fun to be had all weekend, and we were sad in the last hour of the event Sunday when we had to tell customers we could no longer sell tickets… NEXT YEAR, be sure to get yours in advance (this year’s presale group NOT ONLY saved $$$$ on their ticket cost, but they also received coupons for savings on the day’s bottle purchases, an extra incentive for those of you who want to take a little piece of the festival home with you!) The Wine & Culinary Fest is always held the last weekend in July, so watch for it early next year! (You should probably schedule it in your smartphone right now! Just sayin’!)
SPEAKING OF TICKETS… We’ve made a good dent in our stack of tickets for our upcoming “Old Fashioned Corn Roast,” hosted by the Long Cliff family and our friends at Dispenza’s Meat Market and Slaughterhouse, but we still have quite a few more to sell! The party begins August 10th at 6:00pm, and tickets include dinner provided by Dispenza’s, Wine Tasting, Two full glasses of wine, and of course an entire evening of fun under the stars as we dance the night away with our live band!
