‘Twas “Be Mine with Wine,” and all through the shop,
Not a tasting was poured, not even a drop!
The streamers were hung in the winery with care, in hopes that young lovebirds soon would be there!
A foot of snow was predicted and had started to fall,
The phone kept on ringing, “Are you open?” they’d call.
Presale had ended, event tickets were bought.
“But will they brave the storm? Are they coming?” Danielle thought.
Our annual event always causes great chatter!
We’re pairing chocolate with wine, and Long Cliff’s featuring Platters!
17 wineries, each with their own chocolatier:
It’s a fan-favorite event year after year!
But the roads looked a mess from the new fallen snow…
Despite buying tickets, would the people still go?
When what to my wondering mind should appear-
“A SPECIAL!” I thought, “That might draw them near!”
With a dry erase marker, so lively & quick,
I scrawled out a sale, “This might do the trick!”
More rapid than eagles the tasters will come!
Some with event tickets, others here to buy one!
$35 for a three day event?!
Tickets for sale at the door, that’s money well spent!!
And for journeying through the snow, we’ll give you a deal:
20% off our REDS! (That’s really a steal!)
I sprang to my desk to let Facebook know:
“Nemo’s been found, but the event’s still a go!!”
Chocolate and wine pairings all along the trail,
Despite this poor weather, Be Mine with Wine will not fail!
